TIERED BREAKS

Tiered breaks are a new way that we’re constructing breaks to evenly distribute good teams. Currently we are doing 2 types of tiered breaks, “Fixed tiered” and random “Tiered”.
The purpose is to evenly distribute good teams across the break spots. Currently we are only doing Tiered breaks for 2UP breaks, (15 spots) and Trifectas, (10 spots) breaks.

RANDOM TIERED BREAKS

Random tiered breaks will comprise of at least 2 tiers. It will be all 30 teams divided across the nominated tiers.
IE. If there is a 2UP Break, (15 spots) that is random tiered, there will be 2 tiered groups comprised of the, “more sort after teams” and the, “less sort after teams”.
After the participants have been randomised for their position, each tier will then be randomised separately so each position receive a tier 1 team, then a tier 2 team.

FIXED TIERED BREAKS

Fixed tiered breaks will comprise of at least 2 tiers. It will be all 30 teams divided across the nominated tiers, just like random tiered breaks.

The main difference is that the teams are fixed in to team lots. The team lots will be shown on the break purchase page so they can viewed before purchase.
After the participants have been randomised for their position, the teams lots will then be randomised.
